How To Produce Hypo/Jik/Bleach

HYPO,JIK,BLEACH

Chlorine bleach popularly known locally in Nigeria as Hypo or Jik, is used for removing stains from clothing. It has also proven to be very effective in cleaning toilet bowls, leaving them sparkling clean and germ free.

Reagents:

  • H.T.H (Chlorine)
  • Caustic Soda
  • Soda Ash
  • Water

Preparation;

  1. Pour some water in a bowel.
  2. Add all the chemicals together, and stir very well
  3. Allow to settle for 24 hours
  4. Sieve out the sediments.
  5. Package in your desired container.

Please note that most of these reagents are corrosive in anture, hence ensure to always put on protective covering.
